Sunflower Strummers

We're the Sunflower Strummers! We are an instrumental family band of mountain dulcimer players with the kiddos ranging in age from 7 to 20.  Our group loves to play both gospel and old-time music, all for God's glory.

In December 2023, our family went to the Frontier Village in Denison, Texas for a holiday concert performed by the Red River Valley Dulcimer Club. As we listened to the beautiful, sweet sounds that the instruments made that day, we knew that this kind of music was missing from our family. Soon after, we joined the Red River Valley Dulcimer Club and started our journey playing mountain dulcimers.

In August of 2024, we were invited to a music festival in Missouri.  The festival had a talent show that we participated in.  That talent show was where the Sunflower Strummers mountain dulcimer family band made its debut. The rest is history.

Since then, we have played at other festivals, assisted living homes, living history events, and various events in the community.  We pray that as you listen to our music, that joy will fill your heart and bring a smile to your face. To God be the glory!
